At least 43 people have died and 26 are missing after a Russian trawler sank late on Wednesday in the western Pacific ocean near the Kamchatka Peninsula, news agencies have reported.


There were 132 people on board the Dalniy Vostok freezer trawler when it went down in waters close to freezing, the TASS news agency reported, citing an officer at a maritime rescue coordination centre in the area.

This is a .NET developer position - looking for strong Windows application developer in C#, .NET, SQL Server / Oracle DB experience (not Web developer). Automation experience is plus not must





• Programming Skills: The successful candidate must have experience in using the Microsoft Visual Studio development suite, specifically the C# programming language, .NET. Experience with TFS is a plus.



• Database: Should have programming experience with MS SQL and/or Oracle DB and writing stored procedures.



• Education: Minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline is required. MS is a plus.



• Experience: Six+ years of experience in the development of windows and/or web-based applications. Database and UI design experience is a plus.



• Written communication skills: The successful candidate must be able to write clear requirements documents, design documents, test plans and end-user documentation.



• Verbal communication skills: The successful candidate must be able to present requirements, designs, test plans and status to peers and management.



• Team Skills: The successful candidate must have demonstrated successes in operating in a collaborative team development environment.

  • Design, develop and manage big data-driven predictive models to solve business problems in PayPal Risk Management using the latest technologies in machine learning, pattern recognition, and social networks

  • Design best structure and select the most appropriate modeling techniques which include a variety of machine learning algorithms

  • Develop, validate, and maintain advance data mining and machine learning algorithms, tools and other capabilities

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Map-Reduce, Hive, R, Pig

  • Data warehouse skills preferred
